Stronghold is a four-season Camp & Retreat Center operated by the Presbytery of Blackhawk, Presbyterian Church (USA). Overlooking the Rock River, the Center offers a unique Tudor style Castle, modern retreat building, cabins, and a central dining facility all situated on 360 acres of woodland, meadows, and prairie. The Center offers varied and flexible environments for day use as well as overnight accommodations. Group sizes may range from ten to two hundred. People representing education organizations, community service agencies, business planning groups, senior citizens, Christian adult and youth groups, use the facilities for overnight retreats, one-day seminars, picnics, family reunions, outdoor education, camping, and a variety of other activities. If you would like a weekday tour of the castle for your group, please call us to reserve one (based on availability). All building are air conditioned except for the Castle.
